MANSFIELD – East Stroudsburg rallied late in game one to win 9-7 and completed the sweep over Mansfield with an 11-3 final in game two in PSAC East action Sunday afternoon at Shaute Field.

The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played at East Stroudsburg, but all four games of the series were moved to Mansfield's Shaute Field due to unplayable field conditions. The Mountaineers played as the visitors on Sunday.

In the opener, the Warriors put up four runs in the bottom of the second inning and two more in the fourth to hold a 6-0 advantage.

In the top of the fifth inning,
Tyler Guidos drove in a pair of runs with a single to centerfield then
Owen Lukens scored
Colby Schearer with a single through the left side. Guidos later scored on a wild pitch and then a balk by the ESU pitcher brought the Mounties within a run at 6-5.
Zach Merkle tied the game with an RBI single with
Dio Infante taking advantage of a fielding error on the same play to give Mansfield the one-run lead.

The Warriors tied the score in the bottom of the inning then scored the eventual game-winning run in the sixth.

Tyler Starfursky earned the win in relief with Nick DiEva picking up the save. Guidos took the loss.

The ESU bats stayed hot in game two, with the Warriors scoring three runs in both the second and third innings and another in the fourth to lead 7-0.

J.P. Bonanca put Mansfield on the board in the fifth inning with an RBI single to score
Spencer Zuraski, but ESU plated two runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Brady Mengel drilled a two-run homer in the top of the seventh, but the Warrior lead was too much to overcome.

Evan Steele threw 5.0 innings with two hits and no earned runs allowed for the win on the bump.
Edwin Lopez took the loss.
