MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Mansfield University track & field teams opened their outdoor season as eight Mountaineers recorded 10 personal bests and hit five PSAC marks at Coastal Carolina on Saturday.

Hunter Watkins opened his junior outdoor season with a 63.78m mark good for second place in the javelin throw. His conference mark holds great potential for a second trip to the NCAA Championships this season.

Jenny Bellefleur,
Quanda Williams, and
Bryce Steiner competed in multiple events and recorded personal bests in each.

Bellefleur hit conference qualifying marks and finished seventh in both the 100m and 200m races with personal bests of 12.33 and 25.72, respectively. Her mark of 12.33 moves her to 2
nd all-time for Mansfield in the women's 100m. Williams hit a PR of 27.15 in the women's 200m (29
th) and bested herself in the 400m at 61.95 (17
th).
On the men's side, Steiner hit a pair of personal bests in the 200m and 400m. The veteran finished 36
th in the 200m at 27.15 and 28
th in the 400m at 53.61.

Quincy Amabile also jumped onto the Mansfield leaderboard after running a personal best of 8:49 in the men's 3,000m. The freshman's mark was good for third place all-time.

Ryan Clifford and
Travis Keefe each hit personal bests in the men's 5,000-meter run. Junior Clifford finished fourth overall running a 15:17 while Keefe chopped 20 seconds of his record with a time of 16:33 (29
th).

Janelle Peachy made her track & field debut running an 11:31 in the women's 3,000m run.

Charlsie Bowen competed in the women's pole vault at UNC Wilmington and the Seahawks Invitational hitting 3.50m at each.
