MANSFIELD – Andreas Katopodis and Gerasimos Koutoufas combined for 30 points to lead Mansfield to a 67-55 PSAC East win over Cheyney in the season finale at Cope Hall on Saturday.
 
Katopodis connected on four 3-pointers to lead Mansfield (7-19, 6-16 PSAC) in scoring with 16 points. Koutoufas was just shy of a double-double posting 14 points and nine boards.
 
Matt Tamanosky added nine points with Malik Carter and Jeremiah Worthem each chipping in eight points. Carter also recorded nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
 
Craig McGlond led Cheyney (2-24, 2-20 PSAC) with 11 points and Jeff Lewis scored 10. The duo each recorded a team-high eight rebounds.
 
After a back-and-fourth opening minutes, Mansfield used an 18-0 run to jump out to a 28-13 lead. The Mountaineers ended the half with a 36-27 advantage.
 
Cheyney pulled within seven points but was never able to close the deficit.
 
Mansfield shot 43.9% (25-7) from the floor including 52.4% (11-21) from 3-point.
 
The win snapped an eight-game losing streak for the Mounties.
