Boz Bernstein scored a team-high 18 points, but Mansfield could not hold off Roberts Wesleyan in an 89-71 final at the Voller Athletic Center Tuesday night.

The Mountaineers opened the game with a 10-2 run and led for the majority of the first half. After three lead changes, Roberts Wesleyan (3-2, 0-0 ECC) went on top and took a 40-36 lead into halftime.

The Red Hawks increased their lead to nine points in the second half, but Mansfield (0-3, 0-0 PSAC) used a 15-5 run to regain the lead at 53-52. Wesleyan climbed to another nine-point lead by countering with a 12-2 run of its own. The Mounties scored 10 unanswered capped by
Keith Farmer's trifecta to regain the lead at 65-64 with seven minutes to play in the game.

Wesleyan took over the lead for the final time and went on an 18-1 to close out the game over the final five minutes to secure the win.

Bernstein hit seven field goals, including a pair of treys, to lead Mansfield in scoring and added seven assists.
Reilly Collins was 5-of-9 from the floor for 14 points to go along with five rebounds.

Tyler Moffe added 12 points with a team-high six boards and
Taylor Sweeney chipped in 11 points. Garret Cook drained three trifectas in the game.
Justin Vaughn recorded a game-high 28 points and eight rebounds to lead Wesleyan.

The Hawks held a big 44-28 advantage on the boards. Wesleyan totaled 58 points in the paint with 17 of those coming from second chance opportunities.

The Mountaineers host Salem at Decker Gymnasium next Wednesday.
