INDIANA, Pa. – The Mansfield University women's soccer team is heading to Indiana, Pa. to take on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks on Saturday, October 6
th at 1:30 p.m. The game was moved to the Indiana High School field due to recent storm damage.

The Mountaineers enter the PSAC contest coming off their first win of the season over the California University of Pennsylvania. It was also head coach
John Shaffer's first at the helm of the team.
Bria Bittiger scored the first goal of the day just eight minutes into the contest. Junior
Alexis Bittel opened the second half with a goal just six minutes after the intermission.

As the Vulcans tried to tie the game, it was Bittel's goal that proved to be the game-winner. The Mounties were able to hold the Vulcans off for a 2-1 win. Collectively, the team tallied six points in the match, which is their most in any game this season. They also produced a 33% shot percentage.

Mansfield leads the PSAC with 90 saves on the season, averaging 10 per game. The Crimson Hawks head into the game with a record of 5-4-1 overall, and a record of 3-4-1 in the PSAC.
