LOCK HAVEN - The Mansfield women's soccer team traveled on Saturday to play the Lock Haven Golden Eagles at Lock Haven's Homecoming weekend. The game also served as Lock Haven's Senior Day and the Golden Eagles were able to come away with a 6-0 victory to celebrate the weekend.
Mansfield fell behind in the 15th minute after a goal by Haleigh Swam in the 11th minute of play.
Stephanie Moir did all she could to try and keep the Golden Eagles at bay, stopping ten shots in the loss. The Mounties now have reached the 150-save mark on the season as a team. Lock Haven outshot the Mountaineers 25-3, however all three of Mansfield's shots were on net.
Alexis Bittel took two of those shots, and
Meghan Noone provided the other. Marah Foltz scored two goals and added two assists while taking nine shots for Lock Haven.
The Mounties travel to West Chester on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. game, then on Saturday, October 27
th they close out the season at home hosting Mercyhurst for a 1:30 p.m. game.
