GREENSBURG, Pa. –
Meghan Griffin,
Dana Evans, and
Christie Buyer each scored goals as the Mansfield defense pitched a shutout in a 3-0 PSAC win at Seton Hill on Saturday.

It marks the third win in four conference games for the Mountaineers who have outscored PSAC opponents 11-3 in that span. Mansfield (7-5, 3-1 PSAC) is currently third in the PSAC standings behind nationally-ranked West Chester and East Stroudsburg who are 4-0 in conference play.

Mansfield pushed the offensive tempo, but would not score until just before halftime when Griffin notched her fourth goal of the year in the 31
st minute.
Larissa Motts was credited with her first of two assists in the game.

In the second half, the Mounties wasted no time in scoring again with Evans taking a stolen ball and finding the back of the cage in the 37
th minute for a 2-0 advantage. Evans and Motts top the team in goals scored this season with five.

Seven minutes later, Buyer scored her fourth of the year on a Motts assist. Motts is seventh in the conference in total points this season at 14.

Brittany Ryan and the Mountie defense posted its second shutout of the season. Ryan made four saves in the win.

Mansfield totaled 14 shots in the game with 11 on frame and held a 10-4 advantage on penalty corners.

The Mounties' three conference wins match last season's total and are the most since the 2011 season.

Mansfield looks to remain in playoff contention when it hosts IUP at Karl Van Norman Field on Wednesday.
