MANSFIELD – Senior
Alyssa Mullins dropped 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Mansfield past Millersville 60-54 Monday night in a significant PSAC East match-up in Decker Gymnasium.

Both sides battled defensively, leaving the first frame 9-8 with Millersville (6-7, 3-6 PSAC) in the lead.

Mansfield (5-10, 3-6 PSAC) took the lead at the 8:16 mark but despite four tie scores in the second quarter, the Ville came back to lead by just four at the half.

After suffering their largest deficit of 10, the Mountaineers stormed back with three back-to-back treys to cut the Marauders lead to just three. The Mounties held a large 15-6 scoring advantage in the fourth frame to claim its fifth win of the season.

Mullins connected on 5-of-11 shots from the floor and grabbed ten boards for her fourth double-double of the season.
Brielle Kelly also hit seven field goals, including one trifecta, with five assists on her way to 15 points. The senior is just two points away from surpassing Jessica Ulrich for sixth place on Mansfield's all-time scoring list.

Erin Gibbons knocked down two treys to hit double-figure scoring for the seventh time this season.
Melanie Taylor added eight points of her own while grabbing seven boards.

Mia Leonard made a difference in her 12 minutes of play pulling down six rebounds and chipping in seven points.

Mary Kate Rumbaugh grabbed eight boards and recorded two steals.

Alayah Hall led Millersville with a game-high 21 points while Kendra Bamberger grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.
It marked the fifth win for Mansfield in the past 72 meetings against perennial PSAC power Millersville dating back to the 1982 season.

The Mountaineers head to Kutztown on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
