EDINBORO, Pa. –
Charlsie Bowen tied for fourth and hit an NCAA Provisional mark in the pole vault to lead Mansfield track & field on day one of the PSAC Indoor Championships hosted by Edinboro.

Bowen's height of 3.57 meters was the fourth best on the day and registered a season personal record along with a provisional mark. The junior cleared her first three heights on her first attempts before bowing out at 3.67 meters. Bowen, who struggled with a preseason wrist injury, was seeded ninth overall entering the event.

Nicholas Auchenbach hit an indoor personal best in the 400-meter dash at 50.37 and just missed finals by four tenths of a second.

In the 5,000-meter run,
Kenzie Jones hit a huge PR, shaving 22 seconds off her time to finish ninth with an 18:03.72. Jones finished five places better than her seed of 13
th. Jones is also set to run the mile on Sunday.
Allison McCurry was 16
th in the 5K with a time of 18:53.75 after being seeded 22
nd entering the race.

Jenny Bellefeur tied for 17
th in the 200-meter dash with a college personal best time of 26.14. The sophomore was seeded 25
th prior to the race.

Representing the throws,
Rachel Hohenwarter placed 22
nd in the weight throw with her best attempt of 13.02 meters. The senior moved up one place higher than her seed. Hohenwarter will compete in the shot put tomorrow.

Mansfield returns for the second and final day of the championships on Sunday.
