HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Nicholas Auchenbach hit a PSAC-qualifying mark in the men's 400m race at the Houghton December Classic on Friday.
 
Auchenbach finished first in a field of 25 in the men's 400m with a time of 50.7. His mark was good for sixth place on the PSAC list.
 
Bryce Steiner ran a personal best in the 400 punching in at 54.7. This is second week hitting a personal best in different events.
 
Chris Carlsen rounded out the men's side at long jump reaching a distance of 5.94m.
 
Charlsie Bowen won the pole vault for the women with her mark of 3.30m. The senior hit a conference mark when the team travelled to Cornell last weekend.
 
Quanda Williams placed third in a field of 9 in the women's 400 a time of 1:03.7. Williams was 2.5 seconds off her personal best of 1:02.2
 
The Mountaineers return to Houghton on Jan. 19 to compete in the Highlander Invitational.
