Matt Tamanosky led three Mountaineers in double-figure scoring, but Mansfield could not contain a late Seton Hill charge, dropping the PSAC opener 66-60 on the road.

Seton Hill (2-2, 1-0 PSAC) opened the scoring with back-to-back buckets, but the Mountaineers answered with eight straight points to take its first lead of the game at 8-4. Mansfield (0-2, 0-1 PSAC) led for the majority of the first half, holding as much as a seven point advantage, until the Griffins regained the lead on a Trevor Lecuona 3-pointer with under two minutes to play in the half.

Seton Hill knocked down a pair of free throws with just one second remaining in the frame to take a 34-32 lead into halftime.

In the second half,
Malik Carter scored a fast break lay-up followed by a
Tyler Moffe trifecta to swing the lead back into the Mountaineers' favor. Mansfield held a 42-36 advantage at the 16:28 mark, but six unanswered points by the Griffins evened the score.

Seton Hill regained the lead for the last time with an Anthony Karabotsos trey with 6:36 to play in the game and never looked back.

Tamanosky continued to be efficient in his shot selection, connecting on 6-of-9 from the floor to go along with 5-7 shooting from the charity stripe. He also pulled down seven boards.

Carter was held to 11 points, but was just one rebound shy of collecting his first double-double of the season. The senior also recorded six steals. Powell added 10 points and four assists with Dan Ranson recording a season-high nine boards.

Mansfield was held to just 28.8% (19-66) shooting from the floor and 16.7% (3-18) from beyond the arc in the game.

Spencer Casson paced the Griffins with a game-high 18 points and 15 rebounds. Nahan Davis had 17 points and nine boards.

The Mounties complete the backend of their PSAC crossover weekend at California (Pa.) on Sunday with a 3 p.m. tip-off.
