MANSFIELD – Willow Perkins' goal in the final minute of the first half proved to be all Bloomsburg would need to edge Mansfield 1-0 on a soggy afternoon at Karl Van Norman Field.

The Mountaineers made six saves in the first half, including a defensive save by
Madison Wilinsky, but Perkins took advantage of a deflected ball and put it in goal.

Mansfield (6-7, 1-4 PSAC) had two great opportunities to tie the game in the second half with
Dana Evans' shot on goal in the 52
nd minute stopped on a Tali Wehner defensive save. Later,
Chelsea Tanco was set-up for the perfect opportunity on the backside of the cage, but Hannah Barnard denied the shot on an incredible diving save.

Meghan Griffin also recorded a defensive save with her stop in the 58
th minute.

The Huskies totaled 23 shots with 14 on goal and Mansfield recorded 13 shots with seven on goal. Bloomsburg (7-6, 3-2 PSAC) held a slight 7-6 advantage on penalty corners.
