Larissa Motts put two shots on goal to lead the Mountie offense, but Mansfield couldn't get past Queens Charlotte in a 1-0 loss in non-conference field hockey play on Sunday.

Mansfield (1-7, 0-0 PSAC) dominated offensively, leading shots 12-5 and penalty corners 10-6, but was unable to push across a goal in the game. Five of Mansfield's 12 shots went on goal.

The only goal of the game was scored by Queens' (4-3) Renee Smith in the 19
th minute assisted by Hanna Nechay. The goal was one of just two shots on goal for Queens in the game.

The Mountaineers open PSAC play on Wednesday by traveling to nationally-ranked Bloomsburg.
