GAFFNEY, S.C. – Katie Lipski and Gabby Hieber each notched goals for Mansfield in a 6-2 loss at Limestone (S.C) Saturday afternoon in non-conference field hockey action.
 
Limestone took a 3-0 lead on unassisted goals by Kate Remley, Marina Jozokos, and Kate Norman in the first half. The Mountaineers cut their deficit by one goal with Lipski's score just before halftime. It marks the second goal of the season for Lipski who recorded the game-winner in overtime against Southern Connecticut State earlier this month.
 
Norman and Maria Patterson lifted the Saints to a 5-1 advantage before Gabby Hieber recorded her second goal of the season in the 59^th minute with the assist credited to Lipski.
 
Cassidy Coates scored another for Limestone in the final minute of the game.
 
Emily Blidy and Cassidy Smith each denied goals with their defensive saves in the game.
 
The Mountaineers wrap-up their trip south with a game against Queens University of Charlotte (N.C.) on Sunday.
