MANSFIELD –
Kelsey Carlsen and
Charlsie Bowen turned in All-PSAC performances while Carlsen set a Mansfield University javelin record to lead the Mountaineers on the third and final day of the 2016 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Robert T. Maxson Track.

Carlsen hit a massive personal best in her first throw of the women's javelin finals with a program record of 46.50 meters. That throw beat her season best by four meters and her career best by three meters. The mark currently stands as the 13
th best javelin throw in the nation and should earn the senior her second trip to the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships in Bradenton, Fla. It marks the first All-PSAC result for Carlsen.

Bowen earned a second place finish in the women's pole vault with her NCAA provisional height of 3.63 meters. The sophomore was one of only two competitors in the field to clear the 3.63m height, but took second due to a miss in her first attempt at that mark. Bowen, who also took 2
nd in the pole vault at the indoor championships, earns All-PSAC for the second time in her career.

The men's 4x800-meter relay team of
Quashaun Jaquay Willis,
Ben Drexler, Baily Lutz and
Joelsen Resimo finished sixth overall at 7:54.42. Willis, the anchor, turned in the fastest 800m split for Mansfield at 1:57.66.

The women's 4x800m team of
Molly Balliet,
Melanie Hilliard,
Alexandria Gallagher and
Kelly Snyder finished 11
th at 10:48.65.

Senior
Allison Macon hit a personal best in the women's 1,500-meter run at 4:34.83 to finish ninth overall. The senior came back to run the 5,000-meter run later in the day where she finished 17
th at 18:48.55.

In the men's 1,500m, senior
Joelsen Resimo took 12
th with his time of 4:03.30.

The men's 4x400-meter relay team of
Nicholas Auchenbach,
Jordan Boothe, Drexler and Willis took eighth at 3:24.04.

The Shippensburg men's and women's programs claimed both team championships. The men totaled 208.5 team points while the women recorded 177.
