FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Carlsen Finishes 18^th in Javelin at Penn Relays
 
PHILADELPHIA – Kelsey Carlsen wrapped up Mansfield track & field's performance at the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Friday with an 18^th place finish in the javelin.
 
Carlsen's attempt of 39.41 meters came on her first and only countable throw. The senior was the second non-Division I finisher in the field behind only Assumption's Megan Perrin.
 
Carlsen currently holds the fourth best javelin throw in the PSAC at 42.54 meters and is one of just five conference women to hit an NCAA provisional mark in the event.
 
Mansfield track & field will compete at Bloomsburg this weekend.
