RICHMOND, Va./CALIFORNIA, Pa. –
Kelsey Carlsen won the javelin and hit an NCAA provisional mark to pace Mansfield track & field who was in action in two different states on Saturday.

At California's (Pa.) Early Season Invitational, Carlsen topped the field in the javelin throw and hit an NCAA provisional and season-best mark of 41.73 meters. Carlsen out-threw the second place finisher by over four meters.

Kyle Blose's mark of 39.68 meters in the hammer throw hit a personal best and was the second best attempt in MU history.

At Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational,
Allison Macon took second in the 3,000-meter run, hitting a 35-second personal best of 10:13.32. The senior's time was the third fastest in program history in the 3K.

Joelsen Resimo also took second in the 3K and hit a 15-second personal best at 8:49.63. His time was the second fastest on the all-time list.

Amir Dunson and Damarcus Jones hit times of 11.66 and 11.91 respectively in the 100-meter dash.

Nicholas Auchenbach and
Quashaun Jaquay Willis were just shy of PSAC qualifying times in the 400-meter dash at 50.59 and 50.66 respectively.

Melanie Hartley hit a time of 1:00.98 in the 400m.

The Mountaineers travel to the William & Mary Colonial Relays next weekend.
