FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Blose and Macon Top Field at Washington and Lee Carnival
 
LEXINGTON, Va. – Kyle Blose and Allison Macon both picked up wins in day two of the Washington and Lee Carnival to lead Mansfield in a cold and snowy day in Virginia.
 
Blose won the shot put with a PSAC-qualifying mark of 14.32 meters. The sophomore hit a personal best in the third best attempt in program history.
 
Macon took first in 800-meter run with a PSAC time of 2:20.48. The senior won the event by well over a second and was nearly four seconds faster than the third place finisher. The win marks the second for Macon in as many days after winning the 1,500-meter run on Friday.
 
Several events were cancelled due to weather.
 
The Mountaineers travel to Richmond University for the Fred Hardy Invitational next weekend.
