MILLERSVILLE - Mansfield trailed by just three points at halftime, but a sluggish second half allowed Millersville to come away with a 74-45 PSAC East win Friday night at Pucillo Gymnasium.

Brielle Kelly and
Tianna Jackson led Mansfield (2-8, 0-6 PSAC) with 11 points each. Kelly was just one rebound shy of a double-double.
Alyssa Mullins chipped in eight points and
Bella Ricci added five points off the bench.

The Marauder's Celeste Robinson poured in 19 first-half points before ending the night with a game-high 28 points. Alayah Hall added 16 points and nine boards.

Mansfield took an early lead until Robinson knocked down a trey to give the Marauders a 7-4 advantage. Millersville (4-7, 2-4 PSAC) led by five points twice during the first quarter, but a 7-0 run by the Mounties gave them a 13-11 lead with just over a minute to play. Back-to-back jumpers to end the quarter lifted the Marauders to a 15-13 lead.

In the second quarter, Millersville climbed to its biggest lead of the night midway through the period at 25-17. However, Kelly kick-started an 8-3 Mansfield run to close within one point before Millersville took a slim 30-27 lead into halftime.

It was all Millersville in the second half, outscoring the Mounties 21-12 and 23-6 to earn the eastern division opener.

Mansfield was held to just 25.8% (16-62) shooting for the game with Millersville connecting on 45.5% (25-55) of attempts.

The Mountaineers return home to host West Chester on Tuesday.
