ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
Charlsie Bowen and Alison Macon both registered first place finishes to lead Mountaineer track & field at the RIT Invitational on Saturday.

Bowen won the pole vault with a top height of 3.35 meters. The sophomore was one of just two vaulters to clear 3.35 meters and won the event having missed just once on the day. Bowen turned in a fifth place finish in the 60-meter hurdle finals with a time of 9.96. She turned in the fastest time of the field in prelims at 9.75. She was also eighth in the 60-meter dash finals at 8.44 after hitting 8.31 in prelims.

Macon won the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:05.39, holding off Rachel Prutsman of Roberts Wesleyan who finished at 2:06.26.
Melanie Hilliard won her section of the 1,000m to place seventh overall at 3:20.31.

Savannah Buckley placed fifth in the 60-meter dash at 8.24. The sophomore's prelim time of 8.21 was just six tenths of a second off a PSAC qualifying time. Buckley also finished sixth in the high jump with a height of 1.48 meters.

Jenny Bellefleur finished third in the 200-meter dash after winning her section with a time of 27.50.

Melanie Hartley was fourth in the 400-meter dash at 1:02.31 and was third to cross the line in her heat.

The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Bellefluer, Hartley, Macon and
Breondra Myers placed fifth at 4:22.13.

Rachel Hohenwarter finished eighth in the shot put with her top throw of 10.72 meters.

Kyle Blose hit a huge PR in the shot put and placed third overall with his PSAC heave of 14.94 meters.

Joelsen Resimo placed third in a tight 1,000m lead pack with his time of 2:34.69.
Bailey Lutz won his heat of the 1,000 and placed sixth overall with a time of 2:43.49.

Parrish Bridges was 10
th in the mile race at 4:37.83 after finishing third in his heat. The freshman also won his 3,000-meter heat and finished 10
th overall with his time of 9:43.18.

Mansfield returns to action on Friday for the Houghton Invitational.
