Mountie Men Fall at East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG – Thomas Moore scored a team-high 20 points but Mansfield had no answer for a well-balanced East Stroudsburg offensive attack in dropping a 102-62 decision in a PSAC East matchup Wednesday evening.

East Stroudsburg, featuring the PSAC's top offense, scored the game's first 10 points and cruised to 47-22 halftime lead behind Jamal Nwaniemeka who scored 10 of the Warriors first 12 points of the game.
Mansfield, which shot just 32.3% -- its second lowest percentage on the season -- from the floor, struggled to get untracked throughout the game. East Stroudsburg also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Mountaineers 54-34.

Moore went 8-8 from the free throw line on the way to his 20 point effort. It marked the thirteenth straight-game Moore has scored in double-figures and the third time he has hit 20 or more points in a game this season.

Ian Vasquez was the only other Mountaineer to score in double-figures with 11 points while Matt Tamanosky chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

Nwaniemeka topped four East Stroudsburg players in double-figures with a game-high 22 points with Quindell Brice coming off the bench to add 16 points.
Mansfield returns to First Citizens Community Bank Court this Saturday to host the Golden Rams of West Chester.
