FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Field Hockey Drops Season Opener to Kutztown
 
KUTZTOWN – Anna Behm recorded a hat trick to lead Kutztown past Mansfield 6-0 Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.
 
Behm put the Golden Bears on the board in the sixth minute before Madison Wampler struck another goal in the 16^th minute to carry a 2-0 lead into halftime. Behm scored two more goals in the second half with her teammates matching her.
 
Claire Swink and Avery Yoder both made heads up plays to prevent scores, each being credited with a defensive save. Laura Lawson tallied 14 saves for the Mounties.
 
Mansfield continues its road trip this weekend with the DoubleTree Classic hosted by Saint Michael's College in Vermont.
