Soccer Falls to Slippery Rock

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University women's soccer team failed to get its offense untracked in dropping a 4-0 decision to visiting Slippery Rock in a PSAC women's soccer match Saturday afternoon at the soccer field.

The Mountaineers had opportunities but just couldn't put themselves in positions to get clear shots on goal.

Mansfield freshman goalie Rachel Fox gave a solid effort stopping nine shot with Sarah Nezelek recording two shots in relief. Fox now has 50 saves in her first seven collegiate games.

Slippery Rock got goals from Tess Keeley, Taylor Sweeney, Dara Demich and Crysta Gater.

The Mountaineers host Seton Hill on Tuesday.
