Mounties Play Defending National Champions Tough Before Bowing 3-0

MANSFIELD – Mansfield goalie Laura Lawson frustrated defending national champion Millersville all evening long recording a remarkable 20 saves before Millersville finally pulled out a 3-0 win in a PSAC matchup Saturday evening at Karl Van Norman Field.

It was the fourth time in her career the junior goaltender has registered 20 or more saves in a season.

While Lawson was stellar in the net, the Mountaineer offense struggled to sustain any momentum.

Arianna Grays scored two goals for Millersville with Aliza Mizak scoring the third.

Avery Yoder had two defensive saves for Mansfield.

Mansfield host Indiana (PA) on Wednesday.
