BLOOMSBURG – Mountaineer track and field hit several PSAC times and personals bests at Saturday's Maroon & Gold Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg in the final weekend before the PSAC Championships.

Kyle Blose qualified for PSACs in the shot put with a personal best attempt of 13.86 meters to finish fifth overall. Blose also hit a PR in the discus with his throw of 34.99 meters to finish eighth. His throw in the discus was just three inches away from a PSAC qualifying mark.

It was a 1, 2 finish for
Allison Macon and
Melanie Hartley in the 400-meter dash. Macon won the event with a 59.88 with Hartley right behind at 59.92 as both runners hit PRs and PSAC times. The pair were the only two athletes in the race to run a sub-1 minute time.

Josh Tupper won the men's 400m with a conference cut and personal best of 49.47. The freshman was over a second faster then the next person to cross the line.

Charlsie Bowen won the pole vault with a final height of 3.5 meters.

The Mountaineers will gear up for the PSAC Outdoor Championships which start on Thursday.
