Tamanosky Scores 17 Points but Mounties Fall to Division I St. Bonaventure in Exhibition Game

Olean, NY – Matt Tamanosky scored 17 points but a young Mansfield team dropped a 108-48 decision at Division I St. Bonaventure in a preseason exhibition game Saturday afternoon at the Reilly Center.

Tamanosky connected on 8-of-11 attempts from the floor and added five rebounds and two steals for the Mountaineers. Sophomore Eric Lewis also scored in double-figures with 10 points. Seth Chisholm and Gerisimos Koutoufas each added seven points.

Mansfield hit just 19% of its shots from the floor in the first half but warmed up after halftime connecting on 43% of their attempts in the game's final 20 minutes.

Denzel Gregg came off the bench to top seven Bonnies in double-figures with a game-high 23 points.

Mansfield opens the season this coming weekend when the Mountaineers travel to West Virginia to appear in the Crutchfield Classic where they will face host and No. 2 ranked West Liberty in the opener on Friday.
