Mountie Offense Never Gets Untracked in 3-0 Setback at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN – Mansfield never was able to get its offense untracked while Lock Haven got two first half goals in a 3-0 win in PSAC women's soccer Tuesday afternoon.

Mansfield freshman Delaney Meadows got a shot on goal off just over two minutes into the game and Mansfield would add three more shots including one on goal by freshman Nicole Holborn but the Mountaineers couldn't find the back of the net.

Lock Haven's Haley Predix scored the game's first goal slipping a ball past Mansfield freshman goalie Rachel Fox past the far post in the 23rd minute.

Lock Haven would score again, this one with less than five minute remaining in the first half on a goal by Kara Waskiewicz off assists by Haylee Kubat and Alexa Ream off a corner.

Mansfield had second half shots on goal from senior Karyn Anselmo and Nikki Ortiz but failed to score.

Gabby Kisbaugh scored the game's final goal with two minutes to play.

Fox had five saves in goal for Mansfield while Katie Gable stopped four shots to earn the shutout.

Mansfield host Mercyhurst this Saturday.
