FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Place Third at Vulcan Invite
 
CALIFORNIA, Pa. – Mansfield swimming wrapped up the Vulcan Invite on Saturday with a third place finish with 288 points. California won the meet with 671 points.
 
Sophomore Connie Medura led the Mounties with a fourth place finish in the 200 breaststroke with 2:41.96, finishing just .56 seconds behind Chatham's Elina Lankinen.
 
Abigail Zdancewicz added points for Mansfield with an eighth place finish in the 100 freestyle with a 1:02.82.
 
The relay team of Hilary Feudale, Medura, Amanda Ernst and Zdancewicz placed well in both relay events garnering a fifth place finish in the 400 freestyle (4:15.78) and a fourth place finish in the 200 medley,  edging Lock Haven by 1.38 seconds.
 
Mansfield is set to travel to Lock Haven on Jan. 31 for PSAC action. The first event is set to begin at 1 p.m.
