Three Second Half Goals Sink MountiesNEW HAVEN, CT – St. Michael's (VT) scored three second half goals to break a 1-1 halftime tie in recording a 4-1 win over Mansfield in a non-conference field hockey contest Sunday afternoon in New Haven, CT.

Lacey Croasdale rebounded her own shot and put it past the goalie 23 minutes into the game.
Less than three minutes before the end of the first half, St. Michael's tie the score when Amy Kangas tipped in a pass from Cassaundra Davis.
With the score tied at 1-1, St. Michaels scored the first of three straight goals nine minutes into the second half. Mansfield couldn't get its offense untracked in the second half despite putting six shots, including a penalty swipe by
Jessi Swingle, on goal.
Croasdale scored her 12th goal of her career for the Mountaineers while St. Michael's got goals for four different players.
Laura Lawson record 12 saves in goal for Mansfield while Jackie Chisholm had seven saves for St. Michael's.
The loss snapped the four game win-streak Mansfield held over St. Michael's.
The Mountaineers fall to 0-2 on the season and open PSAC play at East Stroudsburg on Tuesday.
