FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Foster and Jones Pace Mounties in Season Opener
 
SLIPPERY ROCK – Destiny Foster and Jesse Jones turned in top times for Mansfield to lead the Mountaineers in their season opener at Slippery Rock's 125^th Invitational.
 
Foster finished 12^th overall with a time of 24:25 to lead the women's side while Lauren Orosz came in at 24:29 for a 16^th place finish. Freshman Sarah Morin took 21^st overall at 24:44 with sophomore Allison McCurry a step behind for 22^nd.
 
Jones turned in the top time for the men at 27:42 which was good for 20^th. Freshman Carson Ayers finished 47^th with a time of 29:34.
 
The Mountaineer women's team finished 4^th overall while the men took 5^th.
