Crusader ResultsFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Hoefer Hits PSAC Mark in Hammer Throw at Crusader Classic
WILLIAMSBURG, Va./SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Mansfield track and field competed at William & Mary's Colonial Relays and Susquehanna's Crusader Outdoor Classic on Saturday.
Jenna Hoefer qualified for the PSAC Outdoor Championships and finished second overall in the hammer throw with a personal best throw of 136-01 at the Crusader Classic. Hoefer was just five inches away from breaking
Alicia Edkin's school record throw of 136-05 set last season.
Chris Carlsen won the triple jump with a distance of 40-06.
Bob McCoy finished fifth in the 400m dash with a time of 52.62.
Jordan Booth took fourth at 2:02.92 and
Dillon Griffith was fifth at 2:04.82 in the 800m dash.
At the Colonial Relays, the women's 1,600m medley team of
Melanie Hartley,
Megan Becker,
Allison Macon and
Michaela Lambert finished ninth overall and set a school record with a time of 4:14.53. The Mountaineers turned in the second fastest time among Division II teams.
