FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Robinson Sets New 1,000m Record at IC4A Championships

BOSTON – Mike Robinson broke his own Mansfield and PSAC 1,000m indoor record with a time of 2:25.52 at the IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston on Saturday.

Robinson beat his previous 1,000m record of 2:26.51 set in January at Cornell by almost a full second. The senior currently holds five Mansfield indoor records.

Robinson finished second in his heat and seventh overall in the prelims to qualify for finals tomorrow in a field of all Division I athletes.

Robinson, Lauren Norton and Jess Scordino will prepare for the NCAA Indoor Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C. next weekend.
