BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Four different Mountaineers registered PSAC qualifying times as the Mansfield women finished third and the men sixth at the season-opener Brockport Invitational on Saturday.

Sophomores
Destiny Parks and
Destiny Foster went 1-2 in the mile and qualified for the conference meet with personal best times. Parks won the event with a time of 5:22.99 while Foster came in at 5:23.53.

In her collegiate debut, freshman
Charlsie Bowen registered the second-best height in the pole vault at 10-06.00 and qualified for PSACs. Bowen missed her first attempt, before clearing the next three heights perfectly. Bowen also placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a finals time of 10.11 after hitting 10.10 in prelims.

Senior
Jenna Hoefer finished fifth overall in weight throw and hit a PSAC-qualifying mark with her best attempt of 42-04.25. Hoefer's best throw came in her fourth attempt.

Senior
Jesse Jones punched his ticket for the PSAC Championships in the mile with a time of 4:29.39. Jones finished second in the event and was less than four tenths of a second behind the top time. Fellow teammates
Shakim Blackwell (4:34.15) and
Joelsen Resimo (4:39.45) finished 4
th and 5
th respectively in the mile.

Freshman
Josh Tupper finished second in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:08.84 while junior
Jordan Boothe was fourth at 1:10.22. Sophomore
Melanie Hartley placed second in the women's 500 at 1:22.74.

Traci Bethea cleared the fourth-best height in the high jump at 4-11.00.

The Mountaineers return to action on Jan. 24 at the SPIRE North Coast Open in Geneva, Ohio.
