Destiny Foster ran to All-Region honors with a 14
th place finish on a snow-covered course at the 2014 NCAA Atlantic Region Championships hosted by Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon.

Foster was the top finisher for the Mountaineer women with a time of 23:11.1 in the 6k course. The sophomore improved by six spots from the PSAC Championships two weeks ago where she earned All-PSAC with a 20
th place finish.

The finish marks Foster's first All-Region honor in her career after finishing 48
th at last season's regional championship at Lock Haven.

Destiny Foster was 35
th with her time of 24:08.3 in her first regional race of her career.

Kirsten Andreson was the top freshman runner for the Mounties, finishing 69
th overall at 24:59.7. Fellow freshman
Sarah Morin was not far behind finishing 75
th with a time of 25:08.3.

Melanie Hilliard was 92
nd at 25:57.2 with
Sara Clauto finishing 99
th at 26:14.9. Senior
Susan Shedden came in at 108
th with a time of 26:32.2.

Jesse Jones led the Mountaineer men with a 37
th place finish at 34:08.9 in the 10k race. The senior improved from last year's finish of 49
th overall at Lock Haven.

Shakim Blackwell turned in a time of 35:41.1 to finish 69
th overall.

The Mansfield women finished 13
th overall with 284 points through its top five finishers. The men did not register a team score since there were less than five athletes competing.

Edinboro women and Lock Haven men each repeated as regional champs. Kasey Jones of Edinboro topped the women's field with a time of 22:03.2 while Aaron Dinenzo from California (Pa.) claimed the men's crown.
