#2 West Chester Too Much for Mountaineer Field Hockey

WEST CHESTER – Alayna Brown recorded a hat trick to lead #2 West Chester past Mansfield 10-0 Saturday evening in PSAC field hockey action.
 
Alexis Versak scored the first goal in the opening minute before Hannah Davies (5th minute) and Alexa Moran (7th minute) scored to give the Golden Rams a 3-0 lead.
 
Brown went on to score the next three goals (11th, 15th, 21st minutes) as West Chester jumped out to a 6-0 advantage.
 
Mary Spisack scored in the 25th minute before Caitlin Wood notched goals in the 29th and 34th minutes to hold a 9-0 lead going into halftime.
 
The Mountaineers held nationally ranked West Chester to just one goal in the second half with Alli Morris scoring in the 70th minute.
 
Kayla Grunza, Jessi Swingle and Katie Lipski each recorded two shots on goal. Lacey Croasdale and Chelsea Tanco both added a shot on goal each.
 
Mansfield returns home to host Seton Hill on Wednesday before taking on Limestone on Saturday for senior day.
