FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: #2 West Chester Too Much for Mountaineer Field Hockey
 
WEST CHESTER – Alayna Brown recorded a hat trick to lead #2 West Chester past Mansfield 10-0 Saturday evening in PSAC field hockey action.
 
Alexis Versak scored the first goal in the opening minute before Hannah Davies (5^th minute) and Alexa Moran (7^th minute) scored to give the Golden Rams a 3-0 lead.
 
Brown went on to score the next three goals (11^th, 15^th, 21^st minutes) as West Chester jumped out to a 6-0 advantage.
 
Mary Spisack scored in the 25^th minute before Caitlin Wood notched goals in the 29^th and 34^th minutes to hold a 9-0 lead going into halftime.
 
The Mountaineers held nationally ranked West Chester to just one goal in the second half with Alli Morris scoring in the 70^th minute.
 
Kayla Grunza, Jessi Swingle and Katie Lipski each recorded two shots on goal. Lacey Croasdale and Chelsea Tanco both added a shot on goal each.
 
Mansfield returns home to host Seton Hill on Wednesday before taking on Limestone on Saturday for senior day.
