FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Three Mounties Hit PSAC Marks at Brockport Invite
BROCKPORT, N.Y. –
Traci Bethea and
Mike Robinson each won their events with PSAC qulaifying times and
Alexa Tsiknas hit a conference height in the pole vault to lead Mansfield track and field at the Brockport Invitational on Saturday.
Bethea won the high jump in her first collegiate meet with a height of 5-2.25. The freshman cleared the first two heights easily and missed just once over the following two heights.
Robinson won the men's 3,000m run with a time of 8:49.10 and hit a conference mark in the process.
Joelsen Resimo was second amongst collegiate runners in the field with a PR of 9:07.41 and
Will Mullen was fifth at 9:30.85.
Tsiknas placed third in the women's pole vault competition with a PSAC qualifying height of 10-10. Tsiknas cleared all four heights without a miss, but couldn't clear 3.45 meters.
Melissa Cruz was first amongst collegiate runners in the 1,000m run with 3:11.26.
Jake Portock hit a personal best of 4:31.46 to take third in the men's mile run.
Freshman
Destiny Parks was fourth in the women's mile at 5:29.66.
Mountaineer track and field will return to action after winter break on Jan. 10 for the Cornell Kick-off.
