Jess Scordino Wins Paul Short Run; Mansfield Takes Best-Ever 8th Place Finish
BETHLEHEM, Pa. –
Jess Scordino became the first Mountaineer to win Lehigh University's Paul Short Run Saturday to lead the Mansfield University women to a best-ever eighth place team finish in brutally hot and humid conditions.
Scordino's time of 21:13 was 11 seconds faster than the second place finisher. The senior has finished first in back-to-back races after winning the field at the Lock Haven University Invitational two weeks ago.

th overall for the Mountaineers at 22:53 With
Savannah Boucher just behind her at 23:05 for a 54
th place finish.
Destiny Foster finished 110
th at 23:47 while
Allison McCurry was 150
th at 24:16 to round out Mansfield's top five runners.
As a team, the Mountaineers defeated seven Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams including No. 20 California (Pa.).
The Mountaineer men finished 42
nd overall with junior
Jesse Jones leading the way for a 128
th place finish at 27:20.
Will Mullen finished 172
nd overall with a time of 27:43 while freshman
Ben Drexler came in at 205
th with a time of 28:09.
Mansfield travels to the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12.
