Kristy Scordino Earns All-East honors with 14th place finish at ECAC/IC4A Championship
BRONX,NY – Mansfield's
Kristy Scordino finished 14th overall to earn All-East honors at the 104th annual IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championship in Van Cortlandt Park Saturday afternoon.
Running against an all NCAA Division field, Scordino covered the course in a time of 18:57.6. Bethany Sactleben of George Mason won the event with a time of 18:04.3.
Senior
Kait Chegwidden was 74th overall in a field of 177 runners ending her collegiate career with a time of 20:08.4. Junior
Savannah Boucher was 80th at 20:13.2.
Junior Kristen Von Beveren was 160th (22:48.3) and
Rachael Tylock 171st (4:53.8).
Despite competing without their top runner
Jess Scordino who finished 24th at the NCAA Division II National Championship, Mansfield finished 15th overall in the 19 team Division I field with 401 points.
Will Jones capped off an excellent freshman season finishing 47th overall in the 151-runner men's field with a time of 27:25.7. Sophomore Will Mullen was 57th at 27:41.3 while sophomores Jacob Portock and Eric Scherer were 129th (30:08.8) and 133rd (30:28.9) respectively.
