MANSFIELD - The Mansfield University women's cross country team is ranked 4th in the Atlantic Region by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) after a strong performance this past weekend. It marks the highest regional ranking ever achieved by a Mansfield cross country team.
The Mountie women have given solid performances in their first two weeks of the season. In their opening race, Mansfield turned in a complete team performance placing five runners in the top eight for a 1st place overall team finish at the Hamilton Short Course Invite.
This past Saturday, the Mountaineers placed 4th amongst tough Division I competition which included the No. 1 ranked team in the nation in Georgetown University and defending MAC champions Ohio University. Senior

Kristy Scordino finishing 16th and 17th respectively.
