INDIANA, PA – Kristyn Grunza and Taryn Schawillie scored two straight goals after the Mounties found themselves trailing by four scores, but the deficit was too much to overcome as Mansfield (3-9, 1-5 PSAC W) fell with a final score of 4-2 at IUP in PSAC West play.

The Mounties trailed 4-0 after the Crimson Hawks scored four unanswered goals by three different IUP players.

Grunza started off the rally effort with an unassisted goal in the 49th minute to cut the Hawks lead. Schawillie added another goal in the 65th minute after placing a Brianna Velepec pass in goal to cut IUP's lead to two scores.

Mansfield's  comeback effort fell short and the Mountaineers fell with a final score of 4-2.

Keepers Jamie Twist and Kristie Rollman split time in goal for Mansfield recording 9 saves between the two.

The Mounties are back in action Oct. 11 when they travel to Seton Hill in a PSAC West match-up. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
