ITHACA, NY – Freshman Michael Wallace rushed for 131-yards including a 87-yard touchdown and Kevin Valentine caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from Kode Plank but Mansfield would fall short of Cornell 45-14 in the season ender for both teams Friday night at Schoellkopf Field. 

Cornell jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter three touchdowns by Douglas Famularo. The first coming on a 14-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Elliot Corey, followed by an 11-yard and 1-yard touchdown runs. 

Mansfield got on the scoreboard four minutes into the second-quarter when freshman Michael Wallace took a handoff from Kode Plank and bounced outside to outrace the Cornell defense down the right side for an 87-yard touchdown. 

Cornell got a 30-yard field goal from Alex Perilstein with 5:35 remaining in the quarter, but Mansfield scored with 15 seconds left in the half when Valentine pulled in a tipped pass from Plank in the endzone making the score 24-14 at intermission. 

Cornell scored twice in the third quarter on touchdowns by Elliott Corey and Timothy Bruhn and Mansfield was never able to pull any closer. 

Plank completed 8-of-20 attempts for 83 yards and a touchdown. He was intercepted twice. David Wallace had five catches for 29 yards while Valentine had two catches for 46 yards.
 
Freshman Ako Sayed led the defense with 15 tackles including nine solo. Trevor McHenry had 10 stops and Anthony Mazzone seven. Eligah Morgan was credited with six tackles. 

Famularo led Cornell with 111-yards rushing and also caught two passes for 21-yards. Elliot Corey was 11-16 passing for 134-yards and two touchdowns. 

Cornell ends the 2010 season with a 5-2 record while Mansfield competes its second full season in the CSFL with a 2-5 mark.
