Kaymee Kelly enters her third season at the helm of the Mountaineer swim program after being appointed head coach prior to the 2012-13 season.
Kelly comes to Mansfield from West Virginia Tech where she helped establish the men’s and women’s swim programs for the Golden Bears and also served as Aquatics Director and Student-Athlete Administrator.
Prior to her stint at West Virginia Tech, Kelly was the head coach of the men’s and women’s swimming programs at Frostburg State University for three years. In 2009, Kelly was recognized as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Swimming Coach of the Year. She also served as the Aquatics Director and oversaw the CHAMPS/Life Skills program.
Kelly, who still swims competitively at the Master’s level, was a four-year letterwinner at Clarion University helping the Golden Eagles to PSAC Championships in 2004 and 2006. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clarion in 2007 with a degree in psychology.
Kelly, who is also a graduate of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy, earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Frostburg in 2010.
She is the Mountaineer's 10th head women’s swimming coach since Mansfield first established the program in 1972.
