Gibson is entering her first season as assistant softball coach in 2021-22.
Gibson joins the Mountaineers from Phoenix Physical Therapy in Mansfield.
A five-year starter and leader of the Binghamton University softball team, Gibson was named to the American East All-Rookie team and 2nd-Team All-Conference after ranking second in the conference in ERA (3.37) and tied for second in wins (nine). Gibson lead the Bearcats' pitching staff in wins three out of her four full seasons, while ranking near the top of the conference in strikeouts each year, including an impressive 99 fanned batters as a junior.
Gibson was a three-time AE Pitcher of the week from 2017-19 and earned American East Honor Roll as a junior. Gibson ranks sixth all-time in program-history in strikeouts with 319 and wins with 29. Gibson threw eight-complete innings three times and struck out a career-high 12 hitters against Bethune Cookman.
Gibson remains a youth pitching, hitting and fielding instructor.
Gibson completed an internship with the Binghamton University Sports Information and Athletics Communications Office under David O'brian during the spring of 2021.
In 2019, the Bel Air High School graduate volunteered with the Broome-Tioga Special Olympics Softball. Gibson also spent three summers as a camp consoler at the Bel Air Athletic Club OutBAAC Summer Camp from 2016-18.
Residing in Wellsboro, Pa., Gibson earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology with a minor in health and wellness from Binghamton University in 2021.
