Mansfield Athletics

Coach Ziats comes to Mansfield from The University of Charleston in West Virginia, where he worked beside legendary coach Tony DeMeo as well as former Mansfield Division II assistant Ralph Isernia.  Shane served as Tight Ends and Assistant Offensive Line Coach at Charleston, helping the team to a record of 15-7 over his last two seasons.

Previously, Shane worked at West Greene High School and Bethlehem Center High Schools in Pennsylvania as the Offensive Line Coach. 

Ziats played football at California University (PA), starting as a walk-on and eventually earning a scholarship.  He was an academic all-american at Cal and a three-year lettermen during his time with the Vulcans.  Ziats received both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Cal.
