Pat Maddock returns for his third season where he will continue to direct the offensive line and help offensive game plan after being involved with the team in 2021 and 2022.
Maddock has been apart of two important seasons as from 2018-2023, the Mountaineers finished with five straight .500 record or above seasons, all in the Evans era. That is the most successful stretch at any level of Mountaineer football since the five seasons from 1963-1967.
Maddock previously coached the Mountaineer running back group.Â
Maddock spent 15 seasons as the offensive Âcoordinator at Lyons High School in New York. He is a retired Wayne County Sheriff Deputy.
Maddock was a standout running back at Upper Iowa University where he still holds program records in single season rushing yards and career rushing yards. He was a 1st Team All-Iowa selection, the leading rusher in the conference, and named offensive MVP. He was inducted into the Upper Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame in 1991.
Maddock received his bachelor’s degree from Upper Iowa University in 1982.
