Smith is set for his first year on the sprint football coaching staff in 2021.
Smith will coach the Mountaineer running backs group.
Smith brings 19 years of coaching experience at the high school level to the Mounties, after serving most recently for 10 years at Troy Area High School as the offensive coordinator and assistant coach. A two-time member of the District 4 Staff of the Year, Smith was coordinator of the Trojans for four District playoff runs, leading one of the top offenses in District 4.
Native of Troy, Pa., Smith has owned his own masonry, logging, real estate and tree nursery for over 18 years.
Smith graduated from Troy Area High School in 1999.
