Chimics '99 enter his fourth season on the sprint football coaching staff as an assistant in 2024.
Chimics has helped lead a defense to three consecutive .500 or higher winning seasons. Under Chimics, the team has five First Team, two Second Team, and 11 Honorable Mentions members listed to All-CSFL teams.
Chimics, a teacher in the Southern Tioga School District, has taught earth science, psychology, sociology and history of law enforcement since October 2008.
Chimics was a Probation Parole Officer with the Tioga County Police Department (Wellsboro, Pa.) from 2000 to 2008 before getting into teaching.
The Native of Covington, Pa. has been involved in coaching at the local high schools for over a decade, serving as the assistant varsity football coach at Wellsboro Area High School from August 2006 to March 2008 before joining the Troy Area High School varsity football staff in August 2008 until March 2010.
Chimics will assume the role of secondary and wide receivers coach, a position he held at both Troy and Wellsboro.
Chimics graduated with a bachelors in criminal justice from Mansfield in 1999 before receiving his Mastor of Science in social studies education from Elmira College in 2008.
