All-American Chardonnay Hope joined the Mountaineer field hockey coaching staff prior to the start of the 2018 season.
Hope was a four-year standout in goal at Kutztown University, playing under Mansfield alum Marci (Lippert) Scheuing ’05 from 2014 to 2017. Hope was named a 1st Team All-PSAC selection and 2nd Team NFHCA All-American following her senior season. She was also named PSAC Athlete of the Week and NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week during the 2017 season.

Hope made 40 starts in 49 career appearances in goal for the Golden Bears posting 23 wins and 214 saves. She recorded five shutouts in both her junior and senior seasons. Hope was twice name a team captain as an upperclassman.
The Newcastle, Del. native earned her undergraduate degree from Kutztown in criminal justice in May 2018.
