MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineer field hockey team fell to #2 Kutztown by a score of 5-0 on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Karl Van Norman Field.
Mansfield had two goalies play with
Lydia Miller garnering six saves and
Kiley Moister had three saves including stopping a penalty stroke.
Jordan Brunnabend had a pair of defensive saves.
Amanda Ray and
Jenna Duke had shots on goal for the Mounties.
The Golden Bears scored two quick goals to put the Mounties down 2-0 after one period.
Rachel Glasso scored her third of the game on a redirect in the second as Kutztown led 3-0.
They would add another pair in the third period to lead 5-0. Mansfield would have two good offensive tries in the final quarter, but was unable to find the cage to finish the game, falling by that score.
