MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's soccer team hosted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival East Stroudsburg University on Saturday (Oct. 10) and took a 1-0 loss.
Angel Gulé had yet another outstanding outing in goal for the Mounties (1-12-0 | 0-11-0 PSAC), stopping the ball from finding the back of the net 16 times, tying her second highest in a single game. Aaliyah Stocks helped keep the offensive pressure by adding two shots on the day, and Teagan Herbers collected one shot herself.
The match was a defensive standoff with the one and only goal scored in the contest occurring in the 66th minute. Despite the defensive effort by both squads, the Warriors (4-5-2 | 2-5-2 PSAC) took their 1-0 lead in the second half and rode with it to victory.
